Modernization of making the authorized access points for uniform titles of anonymous classical religious works: the holy books of christianity, judaism, islam and zoroastrianism

Sažetak
The paper discusses the problems, and possible solutions, concerning the creation of authorized access points and the use of uniform titles for anonymous classical religious works. Primarily, it refers to the Article 17 of the Pravilnik i priručnik za izradbu abecednih kataloga (A Code and Manual for Compiling Alphabetical Catalogues) by Eva Verona, and especially those paragraphs and stipulations which prescribe the choice of authorized access points for the holy books, and parts of the holy books, of Muslims, Buddhists, Jews and other non-Christian religious communities. The article 17 presecribes that the commonly used titles are to be taken as uniform titles, although, today, this rule is considered rather obsolete. These stipulations should be adjusted in accordance with the modern scientific knowledge considering the practices of the world national libraries, where, some of the holy books, unlike the Bible, do not have all their components noted in the bibliographic records. Uniform titles of the holy books need to be created in their original national language and in the script of their creation. Transliteration in the corresponding Latinized letters is fully accessible through the Unicode standard. The paper describes and gives the examples of authorized access points to the Bible, the Quran, the Tanakh and the Avesta, and their component parts according to contemporary scientific terms.
