Sažetak
In the period from January 2014 to September 2015 a research was
conducted on horticultural flora of private gardens in the archipelago of Zadar. The study included 40 gardens in different locations. The research included: geographic origin, evergreen and deciduous representation of plant species, life forms found, the representation of indigenous and of non-native species and utilitarian decorative properties. On the investigated locations about 247 plant species were recorded.. The most represented was the family Rosaceae (8,50%). Among the life forms shrubs (38,87%) dominated. Evergreen species (78,14%) dominated. Significant was the representation of non-native (foreign) plants (74,49). The biggest part of foreign species originated from Asia (30,43%). Ornamentals were dominant (70,45%) in comparison with utilitarian plants (29,55%).
