Sažetak
The possible presence of Marssonina leaf blotch of apple, caused by the fungus Diplocarpon mali, was investigated in Croatia during 2015. Twenty-three visual inspections of apple trees in intensive and extensive orchards, gardens and public areas were conducted from August to November in ten counties. Fifty samples of apple leaves were collected and analysed in laboratory. D. mali was identified in 21 samples. Marssonina leaf blotch was found in samples collected in Zagreb County, Sisak – Moslavina County, Varaždin County, Međimurje County and in the City of Zagreb. Yellowing of leaves and premature leaf drop were observed at locations where Marssonina leaf blotch was determined. This is the first report of Marssonina leaf blotch of apple in Croatia.
