Sažetak

Entrepreneurship is considered as one of the (key) ways of creating employment and an indirect way of increasing overall economic well-being. This is particularly important for the transition countries, such as Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is therefore justifiable to ask whether today's students in Bosnia and Herzegovina are potential entrepreneurs of tomorrow? The aim of this research was to examine the entrepreneurial intentions of business students in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to identify the determinants of entrepreneurial intentions in this group. The survey included students of the first year of business studies at the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo after completing the semester and having Entrepreneurship as their college subject. A questionnaire with 25 questions in the form of Likert scale was used for collecting data. The sample covered 190 students of the first year of study. The results of the research were processed using the SPSS where descriptive and correlation analysis was applied. According to the results, surveyed students consider entrepreneurship as an appealing and possible option in the future, but not as the most appealing. Surveyed students find other job opportunities such as public administration, state enterprises and education sector more acceptable.
