Sažetak
Web games are a good medium for teaching, because they are always available online and accessible by many mobile and computer devices. They are a modern medium, which is more fun and interesting to younger generations than classical media such as books and movies. The website Language games and multimedia display of language conntaints four games made for learning basic German – level A1. These games work on every computer and mobile device in all web browsers. The games were made by using free software. The main goal of these games is to make learning of basic German more fun and atractive, through interactivity and an appealing visual design. These games can also help develop mechanical and perception skills. Some of these games are based on popular social games such as memory and tic-tac-toe, so the rules of the game are familiar to older and younger generations. There is also a typing game in which the players must type the letters as fast as they can for the word to be translated into Croatian. This game is innovative because there is no other game like it on the web. The site Language games and multimedia display of language is new and it has a lot of potential for further developing the existing games and creating new games as well as distributing them through social networks.
