SELECTION OF SHIP MAINTENANCE STRATEGY APPLYING THE COMPUTER

Sažetak

The traditional strategy to the maintenance of shipboard equipment and system, except for its aim, has gone through radical changes. The greatest influence upon the changes has been that of anticipating the failures, applying the computer, and possibility of obtaining
information on the condition and on the performances of the equipment. The rapid development of electronics and computer applications offers an increasing number of new possibilities. Computer application in the selection maintenance strategy based on risk analysis by taking into consideration the risk index and the frequency index is a contribution to the problem of ship maintenance.
