Sažetak
International Convention on Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR) applieas to the carriage of goods by road which includes freight payment and where the place of receipt and the place of delivery of goods are in different countries. The carrier is obligated to deliver the goods to a person named as consignee in the waybill. The consignor is entitled to subsequently instruct the carrier to deliver the goods to another person. By taking the delivery, the consignee becomes obligated to pay the freight. If the consignor has not changed the name of consignee, it should be presumed that the person who actually received the goods, though not named as consignee in the waybill, was acting on behalf of the consignee named in the waybill. The consignee named in the waybill is obligated to pay the freight, and not the person to whom the goods were actually delivered.
