Sažetak
This paper focuses on the fairytale, usually present in all cultures, which
has been entrusted, from the very beginning the task of talking to the
symbolic level of the very essence of human experience. With its ancient
wisdom and transparency of meaning, the fairytale meets the central
questions of life: birth, love and death. The formal characteristics (absence
of names, the timelessness, the abstractness of the figures and the lack
of definition of space, the use of symbols, universality, etc.) allow it to
transcend the historicity.
