Sažetak

In this article we intend to explore the under-researched poetic and hermeneutic typology and semantics of the chronotope of the city (Bakhtin, Petrov) in Serbian literature from the standpoint of modernist and post-modernist determination of comparative-analytical works of inter-war modernism (Nastasijević: The Seven Lyrical Circles), the modernist post-war actualization of the chronotope (and modelled) chronotopicity of the language of poetic collections of „the second avant-garde” (Pavlović: 87 poems, The Pillar of Memories; Popa: The crust) to the post-modern illumination of the closed/open polyphonic chronotope and mastering of the narrative as a spirituality of the processual form of poetic fantasy (Petrović, The Siege of the Holy Salvation Church).
On the ideological plane, this way of recognition is supported by the accomplished logos deriving from a metaphysical conception of the Heideggerian definition of language in the role of the crucial part (the real word), which sublimates in a particular equalization of metaphysical poetic element with the essence of the religious prophetism (Nastasijević), along explorations of the poetic chronotope of the city as a generative matrix of poetic systems and the paradigm of processual form of Vasko Popa and Miodrag Pavlović - to the ontologization of poetry in semi-sphere, on one side, the epiphany of mixing of the primary and secondary worlds, reality and fiction (the real and the virtual) in the totality of Romanesque heterocosmics as a referent system of the text – from the mythical and biblical codes to the matrix of “total literature”, autoreflexivity and historiographical meta-fiction (siege) of Goran Petrović, where the “shortest word is longer than human life”. Applying comparative-analytic, structural-semiotic, philological-rhetoric, psychoanalytical and sociological approaches to the selected works the poetics of the chronotope is explored as a critical discourse, fantastic zeal and poetic consciousness of anti-image in intentional, symptomatic and adaptive aspects of interpretation. The chronotope of the city is actualized as a generative matrix of big and small chronotopes and the dominant valorizing principle not only of the linguistic picture of the world but also of the synchronic-diachronical processuality of spirituality, poetic consciousness of Serbian literature as a conceived space in finding the being and oblivion.
