Sažetak
The paper discusses words formed from the same stem. Their status in Croatian is analysed on the example of three cognate words: usporediti, uporediti ili porediti, as well as other related words formatted from their stems, especially verbal nouns. According to the data collected from different Croatian handbooks the author concludes that those words do not have the same position in Croatian standard language.
