Sažetak
On the occasion of death of the most outstanding Croatian piano pedagogue and composer Svetislav Stančié (1895—1970) the author writes about his life and study, his pedagogical principles and successes, pointing out 'that Stančié was the first one who brought the Croatian pianism up to the European level. Staněié also distinguished himself not only as a pianist, but as a composer too.
