ZERO-POINT CLAMPING SYSTEMS FEATURES

Sažetak
Zero-point clamping systems are used to quickly change workpieces on numerically controlled machines and measuring devices or electrodes for electric discharge machining. It is well-known that the application of these systems significantly reduces the preparation and finishing times for machining, enables the automation of the workpiece handling as an interface between the machine and the pallet system, and enables the change of workpieces between several machines. The features of these systems and their numerical values, as well as special features, can only be found in manufacturers' catalogs written in foreign languages. Such data representation makes it difficult to quickly overview and compare zero-point clamping systems. The purpose of this paper is to collect and define the values of the most important features of zero-point clamping systems in one place, but also to describe the special possibilities enabled by use of these systems.
