This paper presents life and work of a writer and scientist dr. sc. Slavica Garonja Radovanac with emphasys on her literary works, thematically and territorially connected to Požega neighbourhood and Western Slavonija. Author refers to reception of her works in reading circle of Požega. He explained why, such an acceptance is important in today's social situation in Croatia.
