Sažetak

Two-year investigations (1998-1999) of diallel crosses with four parent cultivars of burley tobacco (TN 86, Saturn, Bs 92, Bols 100) were carried out at the experimental field of Tobacco Institute Zagreb in Pitomača. The trial was set up according to the RCBD in four replications. Standard agrotehnics for this tobacco type were applied in tobacco growing. According to the components of genetic variance, the manner of inheritance of agronomic (yield, price and income) and morphological traits (topping height, leaf number, days to flowering, leaf length, leaf width and leaf area and internode length) was estimated.
Significant differences between parents and F1 hybrids were found for all investigated traits and years according to the analysis of variance. The most investigated traits, except price and internode length were equally inherited additively and nonadditively. In accordance with the estimated degree of dominance for all studied traits, except price the overdominant inheritance was present. According to the F and Kd/Kr ratio values for price, topping height, leaf number and days to flowering prepondence of dominant genes over recessive genes was estimated in both investigation years. The distribution of dominant and recessive genes in parents was not symmetric.
