Sažetak
The paper presents the brief historical review of developing the measures for assessing the quality of measurements and results with special reference to comparison analysis of the terms "standard deviation" and "mean square error" according to the international agreement for expressing the uncertainty in measurement where the standard deviation has been adopted as the basic measure of the uncertainty of results.
