Sažetak

The sample of 671 male subjects aged 19 to 27 was used to investigate basic aggression in relation to the explosive strength and maximum force of attempted movements with the aim to test the hypothesis according to which certain forms aggression may have facilitating effect upon certain latent strength dimensions.
By means of the canonical correlation analysis two significant canonical roots were obtained. The obtained positive correlation of both pairs of canonical factors confirmed the proposed hypothesis.
The structure of canonical factors in aggression spaces and the explosive strength and maximum force of attempted movements allows the explanation of correlation of the first pair of canonical factors to be attributed to the heightened level of general tonic excitements, and the correlation of the second pair to the displaced aggressive reaction.
