Sport as a phenomenon of contemporary society in the light of the evolution of modern wrestling

Sažetak
Today sports is one of the most important factors of contemporary society. The political prestige attached to the achievement of record results has stimulated the development of top-class sport. This, in turn, provides extremely useful information about the limits of human ability, the factors that affect the level of achievement and the application of such knowledge to the educational process. After discussing these broad themes, the author reviews the development of wrestling from antiquity to the present day. There follows an analysis of wrestling techniques used in bouts during the international contest "I. Podubni", the results of which in favor of changes in international rules of wrestling Finally, a comparative analysis is presented of indicators of technical efficacy in wrestling.
