Sažetak

The paper deals with the relation between and somatotypes and the reaction of the skeleton to load. A weaker reaction of the skeleton was established in the brachio-hypertrophic, accompanied by thinning of joint cartilage and an increase in formation of bone tissue. Therefore, the brachio-hyperthropic somatotype can be considered as one of the risk factors in the premature aging bones of joints affected by strains encountered in sports.
