The canonic relations between motor variables and results in situational soccer tests

Sažetak
The sample consisted of 168 13-year olds that were subjected to measurement of 24 motor variables and 6 situational soccer tests. The motor characteristics were intended for the assessment of latent dimension that belong to the spaces for energy regulation and structural regulation of movement. The basic dimensions of the motor space were the following abilities: 1. frequency of movement, 2. precision, 3. balance, 4. flexibility, 5. co-ordination, 6. speed, 7. explosive strength and 8. repetitive- static strength.
The criterion group of variables was defined by the scores achieves in 6 analyzed situational tests:
1. fast leading of the ball 20 m - SNBV 20
2. hitting the ball with the head - SNESGL
3. elevational aiming with the head - horizontal target - SNPEGH
4. jumping strength - head kick - SNESGV
5. leading the ball in slalom - SNKSLA
6. strength of leg kick - SNESNO
The assessment of relation between the motor characteristics and the results in the analyzed situational football tests was done by means of the canonic correlation analysis.
Two pairs of canonic factor sufficed to explain the relation between the system of motor characteristics and the system of situational-motor tests.
The structure of first pair of canonic dimensions suggests that for the achievement in all analyzed situational football tests (particularly in 4. and 1.) the ideal combination of motor characteristics is the one where speed and/or explosive strength dominate, including also repetitive strength.
Formation of the second pair of significant canonic dimensions can be attributed to the effect of the factor for speed of excitation process in regulation of movement on the results in strength of leg kick, head kick and leading speed in slalom.
