Sažetak

The investigation was carried out on a group of 52 students of the Faculty of Physical Education in Zagreb with a minimum of two years of study, in the course of which they attended 75 hours of teaching in Volleyball. The criterial by which subjects were chosen were grades obtained in the practical volleyball examination of membership of a volleyball team. The model of covariance maximization was used to establish the relationships between eleven primary motoric abilities (coordination - KORDI, realization of rhythmic structures - RITAM, balance - RAVNO, frequency of movements - FREKVE, speed of movements - BRZPOK, precision - PRECIZ, flexibility - FLEKSI, force - SILA, explosive power - EKSPLO, power - SNAGA and endurance - IZDRZL) and two sets of dimensions of situational efficacy in volleyball . The first set of dimensions of situational efficacy in volleyball comprised seven situational motoric factors (precison of hitting and passing the ball with the fingers - smasing- PSM, power with shich the ball is hit - SOD, speed endurance of volleyball players - IZD and speed of movement of volleball players - BKR, while the second set consisted of measures of performance in the game evaluated by competent observers who observed players in matches and awarded points for eight variables (technique - TEHNIK, attack - NAPAD, defence - OBRANA, creativity - STVARA, responsibility - ODCOVO, commitment - ANGAZI, behaviour - PONASA and overall performance - OPCOCJ).
This subsample of subjects show a different interrelationship of basic motoric dimensions from that obtained for the basic sample (Metikos, Prot, Horvat, Kules and Hofman, 1982) which partially limits the extension of these results to the population of volleyball players.
The dimensions of the situational motoric factors form homogenous, relatively independent set od measures of situational efficacy Thes set of dimensions can be considered to be suitable criterial system for the investigation of the predictive value of basic motoric abilities in relation to elements of the game of volleyball.
The unexpectedly high intercorrelation of evaluations of performance narrows considerably the space of information obtained by the evaluation procedure down to some general measure to efficacy in the game based on the technical level of the players. The basic motoric dimensions can explain a considerable part of the variance of situational motoric factors for volleyball. The specifications of individual situational-motoric factors differ in the space of primary motoric factors and they are struktured in accordance with hypotheses on the relevance of individual motoric dimensions.
Although, unfortunately, the space of evaluations of play was unexpectedly unidimensional, the basic motoric dimensions do explain a considerable part of its variance.
The contribution the prognosis of booth criterial sets, and of almost all individual criteria, is based on the systematic participation of the following basic motoric dimensions, coordination, explosive power, precision, frequency of movements, balance, speed of movements, force and power. These dimensions are probably responsible for the situational-motoric efficiency of volleyball players.
