Analysis of written thematic and cover user inquiries to Požega City Libraries

Sažetak
The analysis of thematic and title user inquiries based on written traces of the City Library of Požega is divided into two parts. The first unit is the Analysis of thematic user queries, the second is the Analysis of title / author queries. Only those user inquiries for which there is a written trace were analyzed, namely prescribed forms, printed inquiries sent via e-mail, then informal forms in the form of slips, pieces of paper and written topics / titles "ordered" by phone. The analysis of thematic or complex queries is in the first place because it covers a longer period of time, queries were collected and processed from 2015 to March 20, 2020. They are classified according to the UDC classification in groups from 0 to 9. The second unit is on the basis of a written trace, received in the period from
13 May 2019 to 20 March 2020 in the premises of the “Temporary” Library. They are also classified according to the UDK classification into groups from 0 to 9. There are different periods of collection and analysis of these two types of queries. What is common, both types of queries are classified into UDC classification areas, presented quantitatively. The relocation to the Temporary is conditioned by construction works in the Library. Procedures related to borrowing / returning titles / authors of books and nonbooks, as well as inquiries for certain titles / authors from the day of transfer to the
Provisional are determined. The results of the analysis of user inquiries are guidelines for further construction of the library fund and renovation and supplementation of the existing one.
