Sažetak
This research aimed to determine the opinions of subject teachers of the subject Chemistry on some pedagogical aspects of communication during the pandemic of the disease COVID-19 from March 2020 to the end of the school year 2020/2021. The research sample consisted of subject chemistry teachers who voluntarily completed a questionnaire created in the MS Forms system. The teacher’s response indicates the importance of the research topic (N = 125). As communication during distance learning (whether synchronous or asynchronous) is mainly based on the application of information and communication technologies, the opinions of subject chemistry teachers of primary and secondary schools on the effect of e-learning on communication skills in students, their application, and the impact of e-learning on the communication of teachers and students, for which knowledge of information and communication technologies is necessary for the conditions of conducting e-learning. No statistically significant differences were found in the opinions of subject Chemistry teachers on the effect of e-learning on the age and type of school in which they work. However, the descriptive analysis found that more than half of the surveyed subject teachers believe that e-learning encourages the development of student’s communication skills. Also, it was found that as many as 88% of subject teachers consider their digital competencies to be medium to advanced and accordingly use high and medium complexity tools (learning management systems and group video or audio) to conduct e-learning and evaluation during e-learning.
