Sažetak

The birth identity as one of the most far-reaching social identities has been unequally reflected in regard to being part of the gender (“male” and “female”), so the social, cultural and political consequences of the mentioned differences are very important. They have been presented in the whole range of macro-social differences, institutions and levels-from microstructure and family to macro-social levels of the institution of the state and policy. In spite of the fact that in the contemporary patriarchal societies its appearance has somewhat diminished, first of all due to the deterioration of the traditional patriarchal family, the gender domination in spite of everything has continued to persistently occupy its position as one of the most penetrating ideology of the contemporary culture which actually preserves its fundamental concept of power-structural relationship where groups of persons of male gender subordinate the groups of persons of female gender. The fundamental contribution to identification/exposing and research of the gender inequalities as well as the attempt to fight it and resist it has been from the feminist side, the feminist movement has its theoretical approaches and opinions directed and focused to the elaboration/explication of the patriarchal system. Regardless the fact that the patriarchal as the social relationship of the power exposes quite significant varieties in the history as well as in localities, the gender relations of power have been conditioned and are present everywhere in the following crucial dimensions: ideological, “biological”, sociological, class, mythological, religious, economic, psychological and in force and violence. The part of work of the feminist sociology has been focused exactly in this direction to expose the mentioned way of power, in other words to expose the social forms of power as gender forms of power.
