Sažetak
In this article, we describe the ‘Batomalj sheet’ (written in Croatian Glagolitic script in 1425), which has been in the possession of Dalibor Salopek in Zagreb since 1992. In May 2019, Darko Žubrinić identified it as one of the lost ‘Batomalj sheets’, written in 1425 for the Confraternity of the Holy Spirit (St. Mary on the Hill) in the village of Batomalj (near Jurandvor in the hinterland of Baška) on the island of Krk. According to previous information from Eduard Hercigonja (of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts), the ‘Batomalj sheets’ contain the oldest known confraternity rules written in the Glagolitic script. In this paper we have shown that originally at least seven ‘Batomalj sheets’ had been written. Two of them are held in the Norwegian National Library in Oslo as a part of the prestigious Martin Schøyen Collection, and one of them is held in the Croatian capital, Zagreb, in the possession of Dalibor Salopek. A note by Marko Šorić (1860–1949), dealing with the Charter of the Confraternity of the Holy Spirit in Baška from 1461 has been added, the content of which is very close to that of the ‘Batomalj sheets’. This paper contains facsimiles of seven pages of the ‘Batomalj sheets’.
