Abstract

Author is discussing issue of the image of the Republic of Croatia worldwide, and consequently its influence on success of Croatian foreign policy in international relations. The paper is based on the opinion of foreign ambassadors accredited to Croatia, as the targeted group which significantly influences creation of Croatian image at their respective governments, therefore on the creation of their foreign policy toward Croatia, and to whose work at the same time there is influence of their personal views, perception and emotion. The paper, among other issues, discovers that foreign diplomats still significantly connect Croatia with war events, and that they consider Croatia's identity worldwide to be pretty unrecognizable.
