The Most Remote Point of Loxodrome from Orthodrome

Sažetak

The work presents the problem of determining the most remote point of loxodrome from the corresponding orthodrome connecting two points. First, the classical method of solving the problem according to Kavrayskiy is described, and then our own method is presented. Both methods are at the end reduced to the solution of non-linear equation. The determination of the most remote point of loxodrome from the orthodrome is illustrated by two examples.
