United States and the People's Republic of China: Cooperation Dependent on the Interests of the Global Security

Abstract
The author analysis relations between the United States of America and the People's Republic of China in the context of new realities of international relations which are characterized by the growing importance of China in the global political scene. The dynamics of bilateral relations between the world's only superpower and the rising Asian giant is dictated by the access of the two countries to a number of issues of regional and global significance, form the future of Taiwan and the Korean peninsula to the stabilization of global economic conditions and climate change. Having considered the (dis)agreement in the contemporary US-China relations, the author concludes that the United States and China seek to pursue a policy of cooperation which bas a positive impact on their bilateral, and indirectly on global political relations.
