Nomenclatural and syntaxonomic revision of Croatian "firmetums" – "Ass. caricetum firmae Croaticum HT. 1930"

Sažetak
In the paper the nomenclatural revision and syntaxonomic analysis of the mountainous pasture land vegetation of the ass. "Caricetum firmae croaticum Ht. 1930", in the form of two independent associations and a separate vegetation alliance, has been made. From the Croatian Snježnik and Risnjak, the ass. Helianthemo alpestri-Caricetum firmae Trinajstić, ass. nov., and from Lička Plješivica the ass. Potentillo clusii-Caricetum firmae Trinajstić, ass. nov are described. These associations have been separated into a special alliance Seslerio juncifoliae-Caricion firmae Trinajstić, all. nov.
The floristic composition of the ass. Helianthemo alpestri-Caricetum firmae is shown on the basis of 7 phytosociological relevés, and as characteristic and differential species of the association Helianthemum alpestre, Oxytropis campestris, Euphrvsia salisburgensis, Festuca pumila and Primula longiflora are indicated.
The floristic composition of the ass. Potentillo clusii-Caricetum firmae is shown on the basis of 9 phytosociological relevés, and as characteristic and differential species of the association Potentilla clusii, Anrdosace lactea, Primula wulfeniana and Heliosperma pusilum are indicated.
As characteristic species of the alliance Seslerio-Caricion firmae Carex firma, Campanula pusilla, Bartschia alpina, Linum alpinum, Scabiosa silenifolia, Ranunculus hybridus, and regionally characteristic Polygonum viviparum and Selaginella selaginoides are indicated.
The said number of Croatian "firmetums" has been fused into the order Seslerietalia juncifoliae and the class Seslerietea juncifoliae. As characteristic species of these sintaxa distinguished are in the first place Sesleria juncifolia, Edraianthus graminifolius, Gentiana clusii, Arabis scopoliana, Ranunculus carinthiacus, Phyteuma orbiculare and Pedicularis verticillata. Other characteristic species are less frequent.
