Sažetak
The article provides a brief historical overview of the significance of the Section and Board of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine of The European Union of Medical Specialists as the most prominent representative of European specialists in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, and the role of Croatia, which has, through the Croatian Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine of the Croatian Medical Association and the work of delegates, significantly contributed to the international strengthening and organization of the profession.
The action was two-way with numerous positive developments in the field of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at the European as well as at the national level: the Croatian side, through continuous work, became a reliable European partner, in many respects the vanguard; at the same time utilizing European experiences and mechanisms for the advancement of national professional and clinical work.
