Sažetak

Although the logistics as the factor of effectiveness and efficiency in the process of moving the products, services and information during and between the business enterprises of one or more national economies has long been neglected, the logistic activities presentone of the most important areas to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of both business enterprises and national economies. The logistic systems become more complicated, implying efficient coordination and organization of the great number of logistic phenomena, at the same time breaking down barriers between different business functions inter and intra business enterprises and also within and between national economies. Having concisely elaborated the basic features of logistics before the statement is proved, by definition aswell as elaborations on the most important characteristics and functions of the logistic system’s subsystems in order to show the contribution factors in the affirmation, growthand development of the basic logistic subsystems on the basis of systematic approach. Important logistic phenomena of the most important logistic subsystems are concisely elaborated: megalogistics, global logistics, macro-micro-metalogistics, inter and intralogistics, services logistics, information logistics, menagement logistics, primary logistics, secondary logistics, tertiary logistics, quarterly logistics, quintary logistics, logistics of sustainable development. The business policy of the logistic firms is subsequently elaborated on the basis of analyses of their five basic subpolicies: staff policy, market policy, productivity policy, finance policy and development policy.
