Sažetak
Uncertainty in parental roles and clumsiness in family relations showed parents needs for education for quality parenting. Long life learning is the frame for quality parents where needs for knowledge and skills are satisfied. Education workshops for parenthood helped and implemented quality relation between adults and children. In this paper we tested existing differences between attitudes of parents of pupils towards family relations, between two groups of examines, which attended educational program for parenthood (Group1.) and the other parents of elementary school pupils which didn’t have the same educational program (Group 2.). Data was analyzed with Multifactor Analysis (MFA) and ANOVA. Results of these examinations in MFA describe parents’ attitudes about education in 14 factors. The first show the relations between partners and children. The other factors describe attitudes of parents towards the role of father, parental responsibility, putting down negative effects of parents’ behaviour, strong needs for external control and passive relation among parents and children, bad communication forms, which are wrapped by secrets.
ANOVA results show statistical significant difference of parents’ attitudes in group 1. towards the role of a father, parental responsibility for personal child-rearing practices and authoritarian upbringing styles. The conclusion of this examination is that investing in parenthood results with multifunctional gains as better personal operation for the role of parents, better operation in the whole family and enables better child upbringing.
