Abstract

This paper discusses the few fragments of painted plaster
recovered at the No. 31 Castropola street site on the western
slope of the antique core of Pula. Few decorative elements
conducive to precise dating survive on the analysed fragments of
painted plaster. The surviving décor is attributed to the decoration
of walls, ceilings, and openings. Differing groups of painted
plaster likely indicate demolition activity or the renovation of
decoration and discarding of material. The described fragments
are from an unknown building.
