Sažetak

I’m Solution (IMS) is an advanced integrated technological solution intended for the winemakers, which enables them to continuously monitor the key parameters of wine fermentation, such as temperature, pH value, sugar, and CO2 level. These parameters can be monitored in real time via an intuitive mobile application, which enables quick reactions to the changes in the fermentation process. The system is universal—that is, it is compatible with all barrel shapes and sizes, including traditional wooden barrels, modern stainless-steel tanks, and even experimental fermentation vessels. This adaptability enables its use in the wineries of different sizes and capacities, from small family wineries to large-sized the commercial producers. This paper explores the details of system’s implementation, including the technical challenges that were solved during the development, such as a precise measurement under different conditions and an integration with the existent winery processes. It also discusses the key benefits the system brings, such as a reduction of human errors, optimization of a fermentation process, and the obtainment of a consistent wine quality. Process automation reduces the operating costs, minimizes the error risk, and enables the wineries to increase the quality and efficiency of their production.
