Sažetak

Transdisciplinarity (TD), a movement and concept that transcends traditionally understood disciplinary boundaries and transgresses the binary logic of classical realism, has been developing since the 1970s. In the last decade, it has gained momentum, with many academic circles and research centres around the world increasingly dedicating themselves to the TD approach. Basarab Nicolescu, a Romanian-French physicist and philosopher, is one of the founders and key figures of the TD movement. Through his unique theoretical framework, or methodology developed under TD-realism (TD-model of reality, transreality), he has significantly contributed to TD studies. Understanding the theoretical foundations of TD-realism in Nicolescu’s vision, which is explored in this paper, is essential for TD collaborative research, knowledge production, integration, and unification of different forms of knowledge, which is the main goal of TD.
