Abstract
Omnia mea mecum porto is a Latin proverb which literally means All that is mine, I carry with me. This expression emphasizes the idea that all the essential things, qualities or traits that one possesses, such as knowledge, experience or inner peace, are always within us regardless of external circumstances or changes in life. In a modern context, this concept can be interpreted as a call for inner development and self-understanding, and the importance of carrying one’s personal values and wisdom with one’s everyday life. Accepting all that students carry within them is a process. Students should accept what they carry in themselves and play the role of life to the best of their ability. It is not easy for students to explore how they are shaped and take responsibility for all those shapes. By taking responsibility for everything they carry within themselves, students gain the capacity to do something about it, to initiate positive change, to start shaping themselves with their own hands. After accepting that they are who they are, with all their flaws and limitations, they begin to navigate the stage of life better. They no longer lose their strength to change the unchangeable, they are more present in the present moment and have more energy to invest in their potentials, talents and creativity.
