Abstract

In the Republic of Croatia, the E-school project has been implemented since 2015, within the framework of which numerous e-contents and e-services were developed, numerous digital tools were popularized, and workshops and courses were prepared for teachers, all of which helped their digital training. This is precisely why the aim of this research was to examine the teachers’ attitudes about the possibilities of using digital tools in the teaching of the mother tongue (Croatian) in the classroom, on the one hand, and on the other, to examine the students’ attitudes about the satisfaction with the use of digital tools during the teaching process, but also in practicing the teaching content for knowledge tests. The research included 200 teachers and 300 1st- to 4th-grade students. Students were surveyed with a Questionnaire about attitudes towards e-content (for teachers and students) and tasks were created for the purposes of this research. The results were expected to show teachers’ satisfaction with the available e-content, but also the belief that the use of modern technology was often limiting. Students, on the other hand, liked the lessons in which they played in digital form and thus learned or revised the teaching content.
