Sažetak
This paper presents a systematic review of the use of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) in the semantic web, with the aim of analyzing existing research, categorizing primary sources, and identifying potential directions for future research. The systematic review was conducted by searching the scientific databases Google Scholar and IEEE Xplore, through which 20 primary papers published between 2019 and 2025 were identified and analyzed in detail. The papers were categorized into six main application areas: semantic communication systems, healthcare and biomedical applications, ontology development and management, multimedia and multimodal applications, information retrieval and knowledge management, and specific domains such as cultural heritage preservation. The main results show that GAI can significantly improve processes in the semantic web, including automating ontology development, optimizing data transmission in wireless networks, and improving multimodal data processing. Key challenges were identified, such as the need to standardize evaluation frameworks, address ethical implications of automation, and further research into the application of GAI for ontology development and evaluation. In conclusion, generative artificial intelligence has the potential to transform the semantic web through increased efficiency and innovative approaches.
