Popotnik in 1905 on croatian school system

Abstract

Slovenian pedagogical magazine Popotnik was issued from 1880, at the beginning in Celje, and from 1883 until 1918 in Maribor. In 1905 it was issued on a monthly basis, edited by Miha Nerat, principle of elementary school in Maribor. This almanac was taking news on Croatian school system from the following magazines: Novi vaspitač, Preporod, Nastavni vjesnik and Škola. The majority of articles were written by Dragotin Přibil, who was, between 1904 and 1912, county people-school inspector for Lošinj, Krk and Volosko, and some were written by Janko Bratina and dr Fran Ilešič. The news included statistic information on Croatian school system, literature news, interesting things in class and new teaching aids as well as information on some teachers. A few paragraphs were extractions from reviews which were written by Croatian teachers on Slovenian pedagogical books and magazines.
