Sažetak

In the domain of Petrinja province, that is Sisak from 1860. onwards, there were four local schools in the period from 1820 to 1830. They were in Military Sisak and Blinja, founded in 1820., then at Komarevo in 1830. and at Hrastovica in 1842. There are very few sources for the history of the Sisak local school till 1843. as there has not almost been any data of the period in the archival materials for the school. Therefore, we should rely on uncertain data of Katarina Fritz (the end of the 19th century) but with necessary caution.

Between the years 1840. and 1844. the Sisak school becomes a German local school while the school in Hrastovica undergoes the same change in 1864. In the year 1874. the Sisak local three year course school is transformed into a senior public school for boys.

Local school funds were in the great majority of cases dissatisfactory. So, in the funds of all local schools of the Second Viceroyal Regiment (II. banske regi-mente) there was hardly enough money for the four local schools of the Sisak Province.
