Abstract

The paper analyses the process of implementing adult education programs through micro-credentials within a regular vocational secondary school in the educational system of the Republic of Croatia. The process is examined using the example of the Natural Sciences and Graphic Art Secondary School Rijeka, specifically through the introduction of the micro-credential Management of Process Operations in an Oil Refinery. The analysis focuses on the key steps involved in leading and managing the introduction of a micro-credential program into the adult education system, as well as on the challenges faced by secondary school management in identifying optimal solutions for the effective delivery of training programs. Particular attention is devoted to the legal and regulatory aspects of implementing this educational model, thereby contributing to a deeper understanding of the institutional adjustments required for its successful realization. The findings of the analysis may serve as guidelines for the leadership of secondary education institutions.
