Book Lexemes and Lexemes Specific to the Language of Literature in Contemporary Monolingual Dictionaries of the Croatian language

Abstract
The work in contemporary monolingual dictionaries of the Croatian language, taking into account differences in their conception and selection of corpus basis, examines dictionary entries that are marked by belonging to book lexicon and the language of literature, attempting to answer the question to what extent the aforementioned lexical groups are represented and how they are lexicographically processed, especially with regard to the associated stylistic determinant or combination of determinants by which the place of stratified, coloured, usage-limited lexicon within the standard language as a system is determined. Since book lexemes and lexemes characteristic of the language of literature are two separate lexical groups treated differently in dictionaries, in some editions they are not distinguished, and have not been systematically analyzed so far, the aim of this paper is to eliminate the observed gap, supporting the thesis of the need for appropriate inclusion of this part of the lexical wealth in general language manuals.
