Stjepan Zimmermann at the postgraduate study of philosophy in Rome

Sažetak
From 1907 to 1910, Croatian philosopher Stjepan Zimmermann studied philosophy at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. Until now, no researcher has examined these important periods of Zimmermann’s life in detail. In Status quaestionis about Zimmermann’s postgraduate studies in Rome, we presented what Zimmermann wrote about this period and what researchers of his life have recorded. We then looked at material from two archives: the Croatian satate archives in Zagreb and the archives of the Pontifical Germanicum in Rome, where there is a little more information about this period of his life. Then we explored the library of the Pontifical Gregorian University, where we found key series for a more complete insight into Zimmermann’s studies, namely: Catalogus Professorum et Alumnorum anno scholastico 1907–1908; Catalogus Professorum et Alumnorum anno scholastico 1908–1909 and Catalogus Professorum et Alumnorum anno scholastico 1909–1910 and also Kalendarivm Pontificiae Vniversitatis Gregorianae in exevntem ann. MCMVII et in proximvm MCMVIII Moderatorum eivdem Vniversitis avctoritate propositvm (1907), Kalendarivm Pontificiae Vniversitatis Gregorianae in exevntem ann. MCMVIII et in proximvm MCMIX Moderatorum eivdem Vniversitis avctoritate propositvm (1908), Kalendarivm Pontificiae Vniversitatis Gregorianae in exevntem ann. MCMIX et in proximvm MCMX Moderatorum eivdem Vniversitis avctoritate propositvm (1909) and, finally, Solemnis Praemiorum Distributio in Pontificia Universitate Gregoriana (1910). Finally, we have included the biographies and, where possible, the works of all the professors who taught at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome at the time of Zimmermann’s studies there.
