Abstract
Biological insecticides for plant protection are a sustainable alternative to conventional chemical pesticides. Their use contributes to environmental protection, the reduction of residues in food and the preservation of biodiversity. This article provides an overview of biological insecticides, their mechanisms of action, and the registered preparations on the market in the Republic of Croatia. The advantages and limitations of their use are discussed, as well as the prospects for further development and integration into modern agricultural practice.
