Abstract

This text explores the contemporary large group theories along with the clinical implications of the current moment in human history, one marked by life in a dissociated world, a world of devastating wars and unprecedented forms of violence. Through a synthesis of theoretical concepts, I attempted to understand the present moment within the group analytic theory, while also anticipating the shifts in the postmodern society and their impact on the practice of group analysis. The article discusses the theoretical premises of W. Bion, E. Hopper and A. Bain, and L. J. Gould, with the aim to present the evolution of large group theories.
