Stručni rad
On Racin and the Poetry Collection “1932”
Vasil Tocinovski
Sažetak
In this text, the author returns once again to one of his scholarly topics, namely the Macedonian poet Kočo Racin. The Macedonian journalist Stalin Lozanovski published an article in the daily press about a discovered book by N. Kostin entitled Suvremeni književni i kulturni problemi. The journalist describes the booklet as a very well-produced, hardbound edition, published in Zagreb in 1935 by the publishing house Epoha, bearing the author’s name N. Kostin. As an accomplished scholar, Tocinovski manages to obtain the
booklet and realizes that N. Kostin is in fact one of the pseudonyms of the Croatian literary historian, critic, and writer Vaso Bogdanov, a long-time collaborator of Krleža. The booklet contains a number of texts by Vaso Bogdanov, with special emphasis on the poetry collection 1932, jointly published by K. Racin and the working-class poets Aleksandar Aksić and Jovan Đorđević. This serves as sufficient reason for the author to write yet another analysis of Macedonian working-class poetry in the prewar period,
with particular attention to Racin’s poem Vatromet.
