Abstract

Boris Pavković was a professor of mathematics at the Department of Mathematics of
the Faculty of Science (PMF) at the University of Zagreb, especially geometry, as well
as a methodologist of teaching mathematics at the same faculty. His scientific interest
included curves and surfaces in isotropic spaces. This article presents his professorial
contribution to the development of the methodics of mathematics teaching, his coauthorship
of many secondary school books and collections of problems and his professional
articles and methodics booklets. It describes Pavković’s prolific translator work and
his editorship of the journal Matka for primary school pupils.
