Sažetak

The paper presents the concept and development of interpretation, its methods and
media and the planning process of a specific site or area. It gives an insight into the development
of interpretive content on the topic of the nature of Međimurje, with special
emphasis on its role in the nature protection. The author presents the three most important interpretive sites, the basis of the interpretation of the natural values of
Međimurje, in more detail – the Visitor Center Between Two Waters, the Educational
Trail Svetomartinska Mura and the Educational and Research Center Matulov
Grunt.
