Sažetak

The Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Gazije represents a complex historical and architectural entity with a continuous development dating back to the 17th century. Historical research has confirmed the existence of earlier wooden churches, while the current masonry building was constructed in two phases, at the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century, in the spirit of the Baroque–Classicist tradition interpreted by local builders.
The church houses a preserved iconostasis which, although fragmentary, represents a valuable historical and artistic element of the church furnishings. The church is listed in the Register of Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Croatia, and this study provides new insights into its historical development, architecture, conducted conservation-restoration research, and iconostasis.
