Abstract
Purpose. The paper explores the development and role of the publishing activities of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture Osijek, emphasizing their contribution to the dissemination of scientific and professional knowledge through an analysis of the structure, content, and format of the publications. The publishing activities of the Faculty include the publication of online journals, university textbooks, manuals, monographs, and other professional works, providing an excellent platform for the exchange of ideas and research findings.
Approach/Methodology. By analyzing the Faculty’s publications from 1996 to 2023, a clear insight is provided into the historical development of its independent publications. The paper also lists works published in co-edition with other institutions.
Results. The paper presents data on the Faculty’s publications over the past 28 years, with an emphasis on the representation of books, monographs, manuals, textbooks, and collections of problems. Three years in which no publications were issued were excluded from the analysis, resulting in a total of 25 years considered. The analysis includes data on the publication format, print run, gender of the authors, type of binding, type of material, index, and the number of references and pages within each publication. Originality/Value. Through its publishing activities, the Faculty contributes to the advancement of knowledge and practice in the field of technical sciences and promotes innovation and research with practical application. The publishing activity is also involved in organizing conferences and workshops, resulting in proceedings available to the wider academic community. In this way, the Faculty’s publishing activities make a significant contribution to the development and progress of science and education in the profession.
