Sažetak
Objective. The aim of this paper is to introduce readers to lesser-known facts and interesting facts from the life and work of the native Zlatko Crnković – translator, editor and writer. Special emphasis is placed on his contribution to Croatian literature and culture and the native connection with Požega. His works, as well as works dedicated to him, are kept in the native collection Possegan of the Požega City Library, which confirms his importance for the local community and the cultural heritage of the city.
Approach/methodology/design. The approach used a descriptive method of the author's own work as well as works that refer to him. Such an approach allows for the systematic collection, description and interpretation of facts related to his life and
professional work. In addition to primary sources, secondary sources were also analyzed – bibliographical materials, critical reviews, studies and records from the local collection of Possegan.
The results. In the results of the research, interesting and lesser-known facts about the work and life of Zlatko Crnković are presented in one unit. They include an overview of the works he translated, the titles he edited and the publications he published independently, as well as interesting facts from his private life.
Originality / value. The originality and value of this work are reflected in the systematic attribution of importance to the life and work of Zlatko Crnković, an author whose contribution to the Croatian cultural, literary and translation heritage is often insufficiently highlighted in existing literature. The special value of the work is reflected in the fact that Crnković's work is also observed in the context of the local heritage of Požega.
